Mrs. Bernstein

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Bernstein

Bernstein Family

I am so excited about our third grade year together this year.  I can't wait to hear what adventures you had this summer. I did not get a chance to travel but when I do I love collecting Starbucks mugs from the places I get to visit.

When I am not teaching I can be found having fun with my family. I live near Chatfield with my husband, Jacob, and my two children, Joshua and Bridget. Joshua is a senior at STEM this year and Bridget is a ninth grader at Heritage High School. Both of my kids play soccer and enjoy different youth activities. I can't believe that I am a mom of two high school teenagers. I took twelve years of classical piano when I was younger and still enjoy playing when I have free time.   Reading is one of my favorite free time activities. Walking, hiking, and running keep me healthy. Did you know that my first job was a lifeguard? I also taught swim lessons?

This will be my twenty-fifth year teaching and my ninth year teaching at Redstone. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am a National Board Certified Teacher as well as a SMART Exemplary Educator and a Seesaw Ambassador.  My mom is a retired teacher and my grandmother was a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse...so I guess teaching is in my blood.

These are a few of my favorite things:

Family Time, Reading, Traveling, Collecting Starbucks Mugs from other cities and countries, Amazon, Starbuck's Skinny Lattes, Caramel M&Ms
